Patricia De Nys was elected National Secretary at the 2006 National Convention. A lifelong active member of the NCSF and a current member of St. Joseph’s Court 513 in Hammond, Indiana.
Her employment with the Society covers over 38 years in various areas in the Home Office, Member Service, Underwriting Department working with reinsurance and beneficiary designations, the National President’s Office working under and along with seven National Presidents, In-House Editor of the National Catholic Forester magazine and Fraternal Benefits Administrator. Served two consecutive four-year terms as a National Director, first elected in 1998 and again in 2002. Pat proudly holds the title of Society Historian. This superior familiarity and background makes Pat the ideal person to serve as National Secretary.
She is Officer of Compliance, Anti-Fraud and Anti-Money Laundering and manages the Members Service, Underwriting and Information System/Computer Operation as part of her daily corporate duties now. And is still happy to administer the Fraternal benefits for members and the scholarship and grant programs. |
Margaret Babinat has been an active member of St. Theresa Court 632 in Clutier, Iowa for over 40 years. Margaret has served St. Theresa Court as Vice President and is currently President. She was selected as a delegate to the 2002 and 2006 National Convention.
At the 2006 convention, Margaret was elected a National Director. Then in May of 2008, she was elected by her fellow directors to fill the National Treasurer position. Margaret Babinat brings a wealth of experience to her new office, to the Board of Directors, and to National Catholic Society of Foresters. She has been President of the Toma County Farm Bureau since 2003 and is currently the Treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary. Margaret was instrumental in establishing a Women, Land, and Legacy group which serves as an educational resource. She helped develop and implement leadership skills training for a local factory.
Possessing a deep fraternal spirit, Margaret has instructed religious education classes for over 20 years and is on the Board of St. Paul’s Parish. Active in her community she has been involved in organizing multiple events including Join Hands Day activities, Christmas programs, and bake sales. Margaret also volunteers at the local library, teaching quilting and other crafts.
